The Butterfly Plant Hello Yellow, ‘Asclepia tuberosa Hello Yellow, has all the advantages of the native wildflower but with the added appeal of shockingly bright yellow flowers. Butterflies love to visit this flower for nectar and the foliage of Asclepias is the only thing Monarch butterfly caterpillars will eat. Asclepias is tolerant of both wet and dry soils and needs plenty of sunshine to bloom heavily. This plant is hardy zone 4-9.

Marigold – Durango Bee
The Marigold Durango(TM) Bee, ‘Tagetes patula is very easy to grow. The Durango series of Marigolds belongs to the French group of Marigolds. They produce 2″ – 2. 5″ anemone type flower heads. The early, free-flowering plants have uniform heights of 10 to 12 inches with good branching. The Durango Marigold Bee’s are well suited to life in containers as well as beds. Most Marigolds are great for attracting butterflies. Plant in full sun to light shade in fertile well drained soil either in beds or containers. Space plants 6″ to 10″ apart. Remove spent flowers to promote new flower growth. This French Marigold is an outstanding performer in the garden.

Lily – Gran Paradiso
The Asiatic Hybrid Lily Gran Paradisoi, ‘Lillium a spring planted bulb, produces red flowers. Asiatic Lilies are great for borders, beds, and containers. They prefer well drained soil and they will multiply each year. Allow the leaves on the stalk to turn yellow and fall off to provide the bulb with ample nourishment for the next growing year. Asiatic Hybrids are the first lilies to bloom each season and the blooms are long lasting in the garden and in bouquets.
