Geranium – Pandora (Tulip)

The Geranium Pandora, ‘Pelargonium x hortorum is a unique variety that offers beautiful soft pink flowers. This is a tulip flowered geranium and each one of the little florets that make up the blossom are shaped like a small, cupped tulip. It is sometimes also called a Rosebud Geranium, but whatever the name, the uniquely shaped, salmon pink flowers are always an eye catcher. It is a vigorous grower that has dark green foliage with crinkled edges and a glossy finish. They are excellent in containers of all types from small pots to large tubs to window boxes and combine well with other plants such as petunias and ivies. Geraniums are one of your best choices for use in hanging baskets. Plant in ordinary well-drained soil. Over fertilization results in excessive foliage and few flowers. Fertilize lightly every 2 weeks. Pinching of the shoots will promote bushiness Remove spent flowers to enhance flowering.

The Hollyhock ‘Queeny Purple ‘Alcea rosea ‘Queeny Purple is the shortest and first purple Hollyhock available as a single color. With a plant width of 1-2′ and a height of 20-30″, it is perfect for smaller space gardens. “Queeny Purple’ will flower early in the spring. Perfect for cuttings, the purple flowers are 3-4″ wide but appear larger on their dwarf plant. Hollyhock must be watered heavily during the growing season and should be planted in full sun.
