Both materials are about half the weight of cement and can be outdoors year round. Fiberstone is a mixture of sand and stones cast into the surface using terrazzo-like techniques. The surface is then sandblasted and chemically treated, followed by an acid stain to give the appearance of aged stone. Since it is reinforced with a fiberglass backing, it remains light-weight and less fragile than concrete. When ordering, please pick a material then a finish. Fennel – Bronze-Smokey
The Fennel Bronze, ‘Foeniculum vulgare has stunningly beautiful, purple feathery plumes that provide a lacy contrast in the vegetable or flower garden. The Bronze Fennel is an absolutely dazzling, hard to find Fennel, that is used primarily for ornamental value and has tasty foliage and seeds. The tall feathery, smoky purple foliage provides a beautiful accent with pink and white roses or any other contrasting flower color. The Bronze Fennel attracts butterflies. The swallowtail butterfly lays eggs on fennel. The seed produced by the Bronze Fennell is used for flavoring cookies, breads, and cakes. Fresh leaves can be sprinkled on salads or used in salad dressings. Plant in the spring 2 weeks before the last average frost date. Fennel does best in well drained, sandy soils with lots of organic matter. They need to be kept moist.

Corn – Argent – white
The Corn Sweet Argent (White), ‘Zea mays var rugosa (Hybrid) is the best tasting white sweet corn there is. It is unsurpassed in eating quality. Argent is a white sweet corn with superb sweet, creamy flavor and excellent cultivation traits. Argent sweet corn adapts well to cool soils and has a high tolerance ot Stewart’s Wilt and Northern Corn Leaf Blight. The ears will be about 8 inches long and 2 inches in diameter. Plant in the spring, a week or two after the last spring frost or when the soil is warm. In the deep south, this can be as early as February. Successive plantings in two week intervals will produce a much longer cropping season. Corn prefers a deep, rich well drained soil. Harvest the ears when the husks are dark green and the silks are brown but not brittle. Corn is usually ready 3 weeks after silks appear.
