Micro Greens – Spicy Blend
The Micro Greens Spicy Mix, ‘Asst. Genera and Species is the latest, greatest, tastiest, and healthiest trend in upscale resturants. This plant is very easy to grow and adds crispy and spicy texture and fresh flavor when used as a garnish on soups, on crackers, in sandwiches or in salads. Micro Greens can be grown any time of the year, even inside during the winter. Sow seeds and harvest when plants are 1 to 2 inches high. Micro Greens is a term used for both individual varieties of greens and for mixes of vegetable varieties. The Spicy Mix contains assorted varieties including, Sawtooth Mustard, Peppergrass Cress, Cabbage Red Ace, Mustard Green Giant and Radish China Rose. . Plant seeds every couple of weeks to keep getting crops all year around. Micro Greens prefer light, fertile, moist, and well drained soil. Harvest by cutting just above the soil line, rinse and use immediately.

Tomato – Roma
The Tomato Roma, ‘Lycopersicon lycopersicum is a determinate type Heirloom paste tomato from Italy. The Italian Roma is an absolutely excellent, old heirloom tomato used for sauce or canning. The very firm, meaty 3 inch pear-shaped fruits have very few seeds. They are very productive and can produce up to 200 fruits on compact vines. Tomatoes should be planted outside after the last average frost date. In warm winter/hot summer areas, tomatoes can be planted in early fall for winter harvest. Tomatoes prefer well drained soil that is high in organic matter. Tomatoes need at least 1 inch of water a week. Soak to depth of 6 to 10 inches when watering. They need at least 6 hours of direct sunlight a day.

Salvia – Black and Blue
The Salvia Black and Blue, ‘Salvia guaranitica is a tall and attractive plant that has an upright growth habit which reaches 2 to 3 feet in height. The bi-colored blooms are 3/4 of an inch in size and occur in both spring and the fall. This selection of the hardy anise sage differs from the norm in that the calyx (the little cup that holds the open flower) is black instead of the usual green. It enjoys warm tempatures and is moderately drought tolerant. The dark, denim blue flowers with black bases appear to be made by a flower designer because of its striking beauty. The Black and Blue Salvia mixes well with other beautiful summer flowering perennials. This eye catching Salvia offers abundant deep blue cobalt blue tubular blooms that are an absolute favorite of hummingbirds. They are hardy to 15 degrees.
