The Snapdragon Solstice Lavender, ‘ Antirrhinum majus is a mid-height variety that flowers faster than other varieties of Snapdragons. The 16 to 20 inch plants make a good “knee-high” garden. The Snapdragon Solstice Lavender diplays lavish lavender color and has a spicy scent. Their long bloomtime makes them a garden favorite. Snapdragons prefer cooler weather and produce 1 to 2 inch tubular flowers. This snapdragon is also great for cut flowers.

Sweet Pea – Ocean Foam
The Sweet Pea Ocean Foam, ‘Lathyrus odoratus is a special blend of heirloom old spice sweet peas that are highly scented and heat resistant. The Ocean Foam is a blend of navy, med-blue, light blue and cream colored 1 to 2 inch flowers. The sweet peas bloom in the spring and the duration of blooming depends on the weather. The plants stop blooming once the weather warms up. They will generally bloom 3 to 5 weeks. A key element in successful growing of the Sweet Pea Ocean Foam is very early planting. The sweet pea prefers deep, rich, fertile soil. Use lots of peat or compost for early spring planting. Plant this Sweet Pea in full sun, but in a cool a spot as possible. Position them away from winds and rotate locations from year to year to prevent sweet pea pests. In cold climates plant the seed in early spring, as soon as the soil can be worked. In warm climates, plant in October through January for spring bloom. They are used for cut flowers, ground cover, fence and wall covering, and in large pots.

Dahlia – Fubuki – Kogane
The Dahlia Fubuki Kogane, ‘Dahlia’ has wonderful pink flowers with yellow centers. These tall growing varieties are extremely effective in a large display against a wooded background or at the back of a wide border. Fubuki Dahlias have large flowers 8-10″ (20-25 cm) in diameter and are the most flower producing type of the decorative Dahlia with up to 30 blooms per plant.

Japanese Spurge ‘Green Carpet Pachysandra terminalis ‘Green Carpet is an old-time ground cover plant that grows to 6-8″ high with versatile uses. This evergreen is self-sustaining and always looks well. It is ideal for partly shaded or full shade areas. Once established, a Pachysandra planting will eliminate grass cutting and weeding. Your lawn work stops were this plant starts. Green Carpet is the only satisfactory plant that will grow as a ground cover under Pine trees. This plant is used extensively under large spreading trees, back of buildings or in other situations too shady for grass to grow. Pachysandra will transform otherwise bare and ugly ground areas into attractive year-round cover. It is also very effective as a border plant along paths or driveway edgings. It can be used as a lawn substitute in shaded non-traffic areas. Plant 6 inches apart to obtain quick cover.
